  Practicing yoga can not only be a stress reliever, but also a way to ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. Yoga slows down your entire system by transferring focus and attention to the body and breath.

  I have suffered with Anxiety and Panic attacks for the last 5 years. Since I started yoga, it has helped calm me.

FIGHTING ANXIETY NATURALLY


INCREASE GABA 
Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is an amino acid that is the second most prevalent neurotransmitter in the brain. It has an inhibiting effect, calming excited nerve impulses.


-Oolong Tea
-Kimchi (fermented Korean side dish made of vegetables)
    -Green Tea contains the amino acid L-theanine which is involved in the formation of GABA.

INCREASE TRYPTOPHAN 
Tryptophan is an amino acid that has been linked to the calming effects you may feel after eating thanksgiving turkey. It is a precursor to the brain chemical serotonin, which helps regulate mood and promote calm and sleep.

INCREASE MAGNESIUM & VITAMIN B6
Vitamin B6 has a positive effect on the nervous system. Magnesium's role is relief of muscle spasms and nervousness.
